This position will be responsible for Florida metro markets. The purpose of this role is to demonstrate in the field and sell a variety of construction materials including but not limited to wall joint finishing compounds and plasters, hand tools, gypsum wall board, and associated systems.
Incumbent is engaged in building relationships with customers through both telephone and face to face meetings. Incumbent uses a company provided automobile for daily travel to the business, customer offices, and construction job sites. Incumbent frequently visits actual construction job sites to meet contractors and provide services such as proper handling and training for applying wall finishing products.
This is a salary based position with quarterly incentives, company car and phone.
This role is responsible for the Florida metro markets.
Candidate must reside within the designated territory.
Assist in developing emerging markets and product lines for USG.
Responsibility for sales of wall finishing products with potential for direct responsibility of multiple product lines.
Current knowledge or desire to learn technical aspects of building/construction products and systems.
Use Salesforce.com to manage customers, track information and report results to management
High level of interaction with USG sales force.
High level of interaction with manufacturing personnel, Product Management, and Research.
Bachelor's degree preferred
Significant (5+ years) industry experience.
Outside sales experience.
Ability to work hands-on with customers is a must.
Organized self-starter with strong people and negotiating skills. Must be a self-motivated team player, with good time-management skills.
Must have a good driving record.
Bilingual English and Spanish speaking ability is preferred.
Experience in the building materials industry is preferred.
