The Style team is passionate about Apparel and Accessories (A&A), brings the energy of style to life with compelling in-store presentations that enable quick and easy self-discovery. They are welcoming and helpful in meeting guests needs on the sales floor and in the fitting room and have resources to provide assistance with outfitting, accessorizing and building the basket to drive top line sales.Â

  • Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and experience building a guest first culture on your team; including styling consultations, personalized shopping techniques and selling tacticsÂ
  • Knowledge of retail business fundamentals including: department sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing and promotions strategiesÂ
  • Skills in planning department(s) daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goalsÂ
  • Experience leading a team of hourly team members; including skills in helping with selecting, developing, coaching, evaluating and retaining talentÂ

As a Style Team Leader, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:Â

  • Understand sales goals, plan and execute daily/weekly workload to deliver on department and store sales goals and guest engagement; including: merchandising, pricing workload, transitions, revisions, sales plans, events and promotionsÂ
  • Work a schedule that aligns to guest and business needs (this includes early morning, evening, overnight shifts and weekends)Â
  • Lead a team of consultants who are knowledgable and passionate about A&A by staying current on brands, trends and promotionsÂ
  • Ensure your team is ready to engage with all guests by modeling active selling techniques and practicing active selling scenarios to help them grow confidence in their active selling capabilitiesÂ
  • Encourage your team to use the fitting rooms as a way to welcome, inspire and influence guests and as an opportunity to provide personalized recommendations to complete their lookÂ
  • Encourage guests to shop with confidence by creating inspiring visual moments that are merchandised to support seasonal trendsÂ
  • Lead apparel backroom processes, organization, layout and replenishment of the salesfloor to ensure product is available for guestsÂ
  • Evaluate and recommend candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric teamÂ
  • Lead team onboarding, learning and help close product knowledge and skill gaps through development, coaching and team interactionsÂ
  • Establish clear goals and expectations and hold team members accountable to expectationsÂ
  • Provide service and a shopping experience that meets the needs of the guestÂ
  • Always demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance; lead and hold the team accountable to work in the same wayÂ
  • If applicable, as a key carrier, follow all safe and secure training and processesÂ
  • Address store needs (emergency, regulatory visits, etc.)Â
  • All other duties based on business needsÂ

The good news is that we have some amazing training that will help teach you everything you need to know to be a Style Lead. But, there are a few skills you should have from the get-go:Â

  • High school diploma or equivalentÂ
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or olderÂ
  • Previous retail experience preferred, but not requiredÂ
  • Lead and hold others accountableÂ
  • Learn and adapt to current technology needsÂ
  • Work independently and as part of a teamÂ
  • Manage workload and prioritize tasks independentlyÂ
  • Welcoming and helpful attitudeÂ
  • Effective communication skills Â

  • Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 15 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise up to 40 pounds⠯ Â
