Responsible for the strategic development of top-line revenue for the hotel through various means of sales and marking. Manages all areas of sales according to the standards of both the ownership and the franchise. Works directly with the General Manager.

The sales manager is a \"hands on\" manager actively involved on a daily basis in securing, qualifying and following up on leads to book business from all segments. This is done by:

Daily Yield Management
Internet Research
Outside Sales Calls
Monitor Star Reports and Any Rate Reports
Attending all outside networking events
Complete and follow-up on all RFPs
Negotiating rates
Working with both local and national businesses
Develop a strong relationship with Third Party websites
Work the Corporate Market
Work the SMERF Market
Develop all Sales Plans and Goals with action steps
Attend Trade Shows
Knowledge of the hotel's competitive set
Understand and use Social Networking

Work with GRO daily

Must have a valid Driver's License
Able to work flexible hours
Able to multi-task
Be a team player
Have excellent communication skills
Strong computer skills
Ability to aggressively acquire new accounts
Able to understand rate strategies

Must have at least 3 years sales experience
Must have at least 1 year of?Hilton sales experience

GRO?experience a plus
