The Senior Account Executive will be responsible for driving the interwoven client team to produce all client deliverables which may include advertising, scientific and data milestones, branding and positioning, digital and social strategy, corporate communications, clinical trial recruitment, internal communications, KOL development, advocacy relations, executive visibility, approval and launch communications, patient and HCP engagement and public affairs. This person will have a strong understanding of the healthcare landscape, exceptional organization and communication skills, and the ability to work across functions and levels within the agency to deliver high quality materials to their clients. Ability to understanding clients’ needs and drive collaboration to deliver on these needs are critical factors for success in this role.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop scientific communications materials (e.g., press releases, fact sheets, backgrounders)
  • Effectively manage project timelines, take and deliver notes from calls and other meetings
  • Drive planning and execution of events (e.g., medical meetings, video shoots, satellite media tours)
  • Conduct and analyze secondary research across a variety of platforms
  • Coordinate and participate in media outreach activities including development of pitch letters, media lists, outreach, results reports, etc.
  • Partner with social media team to develop content and manage asset development
  • Perform basic financial responsibilities including time and expense entry, opening a PO, maintaining an expense tracker, developing activity reports, delivering monthly billing packages, etc.
  • Develop a foundational understanding of account financials including staffing and projections, developing and tracking budgets and support account leaders
  • Meet deadlines, manage priorities and effectively communicate to team members and supervisors 
  • Understand and execute the Spectrumtific Method/other client service methodologies 
  • Demonstrate and nurture agency values and principles 
  • Participate in agency activities and professional development opportunities; communicate areas for improvement 
  • Manage and mentor junior staff
  • Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in communications, English or similar major
  • At least 2-3 years agency experience, including experience in healthcare and science
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) and familiarity with media tools (e.g., Cision, Bloomberg Terminal, HootSuite)
  • Be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • An extreme attention to detail

  • Ability to excel in a team environment as well as work independently
  • Resourceful and effective problem solver
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
