To prospect for and solicit new business as well as build strong relationship with our existing accounts. Provide strategic guidance for individuals sales team with a goal of achieving budgeted group room revenues.
Consistently perform Hilton Jackson Standards of Services, interact with guests, all hotel employees in a professional, gracious and friendly manner and ensure that staff does the same
-Represent hotel by soliciting, responding to and negotiating with persons requiring large and complex accommodations with or without meeting spaces and /or on-site (Hotel) catering, based upon market segment and account files assigned by the Director of Sales.
-Represent the hotel in significant interactions dealing with customers relative to sales and operational questions, concerns and issues.
-Negotiate contracts with customers and commissions agreement with third party agencies.
-Initiate the preparation of proposals and /or contracts to advise prospective customers primary of the hotel guest rooms, but also meeting spaces and or banquet date, space and rate available. Develop and quote prices for it.
-Engage in outside sales activity to discuss business opportunities and entertain customers in local and assigned markets.
-Direct site visits and host programs for respective accounts and participates in trade shows, industry and customer events.
-Attend daily business review meeting and other scheduled meeting to support business operations, e.g tentative review, lost business review, group pick up, etc.
-Conduct site inspections with potential customers visiting guest rooms, meeting spaces and banquet facilities, as well as others hotels.
-Complete weekly sales activity reports and maintain our account data.
-Know our competitive set, top accounts, rates, decision markers and what it will take to move business to our hotel.
-Achieve and exceed monthly and annual rooms revenue quota.
-Perform other duties as assigned.
-Regular attendance in conference with standards established by our hotel is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance with be subject to disciplinary actions, up to and including termination of employment.
-Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedule in response to business needs of the hotel
-Adhere to safety, security and emergency procedures; react appropriately during emergency situations and act promptly to correct hazards.
