Genetec is currently looking for a Sales Engineer based in the Northeast. This person will be supporting New York City, New Jersey and surrounding areas.

The Sales Engineer (SE) plays a critical role in building and sustaining customer relationships while driving the adoption of Genetec products to surpassing our revenue goals. The SE works closely with a Major Account Manager to build long-term business relationships within assigned accounts. The SE is a high impact and very visible role responsible for ensuring enterprise adoption of Genetec software and hardware solutions, and assists with the closing enterprise business within assigned accounts.

Responsibilities:

What your day will look like:
Present Genetec's value proposition to customers and partners.
Understand the customer's high-level business and technical challenges.
Match Genetec solutions to customer's business and technical requirements.
Build long-term business relationships and become a trusted advisor within each major account.
Sell professional services when applicable as part of a total solution.
Build and leverage strong partner relationships.
Identify new customer projects for Genetec products and solutions.
Drive the adoption of Genetec products and solutions within major accounts moving current installations from departmental to enterprise.

Requirements:

About you:
5-7 years technical enterprise pre-sales experience.
Ability to collaborate with multiple groups toward accomplishing a task
Enthusiastic, self-starter with a charismatic personality
Proven track record of selling services as part of a solution
Strong customer facing and relationship building skills
Must be effective in working both independently and in a team setting
Strong listening and question based selling skills
Ability to travel as necessary
BA/BS or equivalent an asset

Technical Requirements:

Excellent knowledge of Windows XP/7/Server 2003/2008 and SQL Server 2005/2008.
Excellent knowledge of networking principles and the IP protocol.
Experience with PC configuration and troubleshooting with the Windows operating system.
Experience with networking equipment configuration and troubleshooting (switches, routers, etc)
Experience with VMWare Workstation 6.x/7.x and ESxi 4.x/5.x
In depth knowledge of RAID configurations and storage mediums such as NAS, SAN, etc.
Experience with access control technologies
