SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the manager, the Mortgage Sales Support Supervisor is responsible for the day to day supervision, training and development of the assigned loan assistants. The incumbent will maintain a working knowledge of all functions assigned to the loan assistants and be readily available to resolve complex issues. The Mortgage Sales Support Supervisor will provide support to the assigned lender to ensure mortgage applications and supporting documentation is received timely and within regulatory guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Provide day to day supervision of the assigned associates including prompt feedback regarding performance of the assigned duties.Oversee and conduct the training of the assigned associates regarding all tasks and functions related to the position. Maintain adequate staffing levels and monitor the distribution of the workload. Oversee monthly pipeline closing goals and work directly with operations and processing to ensure closing goals are met. Effectively work with the assigned lender to ensure loan application and corresponding documents meet the requirements of the applicable loan program prior to submission to underwriting. Serve as a source of information and guidance to the assigned associates with escalated issues and in areas of understanding and clarifying guidelines, regulatory compliance and product knowledge. Contact customers for needed information or documentation on stalled loans in order to move the file toward closing. Handle escalated customer calls and provide problem resolution. Coordinate with respective departments and with appropriate parties in order to satisfy customer requests in response to escalated issues. Monitor and stay current on changes in the mortgage loan process and maintain current knowledge of the company’s standards, policies and procedures. Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

Maintain a high level of cooperation and rapport with all associates in order to ensure accurate and efficient operations and service. Formulate and communicate new ideas and suggestions that will improve profitability and efficiency for the company’s overall operation. Foster and promote the proper company image at all times.
Directly supervise two or more associates as assigned by the Manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Ensure direct reports have completed required compliance training and are adhering to all internal procedures and controls as it relates to bank policy, laws, regulations and Arvest’s BSA/AML Program. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates. The incumbent has the authority and the appropriate influence to make recommendations regarding hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other change of status of other associates within the guidelines of the bank’s procedures and guidelines for such change of status events. The incumbent provides training, planning, assigning, and directing work assignments and schedules; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associates Degree or equivalent related experience. 2 years of mortgage experience required. Working knowledge of mortgage compliance and regulations required. Current NMLS SAFE Act Registration or the ability to be registered within 30 days required. Supervisory experience preferred. Arvest experience preferred.
